Bold Prediction: Leinart won't live up to the hype

That's the prediction I'm making right now. Bold, yes but Leinart has never really impressed me and there's just something about him that tells me he might not make a great NFL QB.

I don't remember if it was this board or not, but all I gotta say is there's no chance in hell that Leinart will be a better QB than Palmer like some people believe. Yes I know Leinart won a NC with virtually the same team Palmer had, maybe he was a slightly better college QB, but I don't see Leinart doing much in the pros. Anyone else agree? There's just something about him...

I agree i never thought leinart was anything extra special, look at the team around him, he has every reason to succeed, his arm strength is average at best, he is going to be a system QB if he goes to a team with a west coast system then maybe he will shine but his talent is marginal at best, if he werent on USC he would be a 4th round pick. You could see it last night he threw up alot of ducks that should have became ints. He does so well because he is smart and is in the right system, but if he goes to New Orleans or some other rebuilding project place he is a bust

Kinda off topic but I mentioned awhile back that if Vince Young turns pro the Cowboys should make a deserate attempt to get this guy. I don't care offer JJ and your 1st to move up but Young is the type of guy there offense needs badly. With the OL being crap for like 5 years now Young would allow them to cover up some weaknesses better.

i dont think it is that bold alo of great qb's dont make it plus all the scouts says his arm is not strong i think it depends on what team he goes to and its looking like the saints so you may be right

Leinart should make a good pro QB. He's big, strong, and smart. He can make every throw on the field with good accuracy. He plays in a pro like system and if he goes to the Saints he will have some talent(good O-Line, Horn, Deuce).

That said, he was a better prospect last year than this year.

I also think this isn't a very bold prediction. Seems like most people think Leinart will be a flop and not a success.

Okay now I'm sure it wasn't this board where people were calling Leinart a better QB than Carson Palmer and a future NFL stud. Seems this board actually has some football intelligence.

I think Leinart will be a decent NFL QB, certainly not great. I don't think he will be another Ryan Leaf, but no way in hell would I draft him before Vince Young.
