Well, the Bengals kick off their pre-season tonight at PBS against Washington.

Of course, Palmer isn't playing. But, here are the three things I'm really interested in watching:

1. Anthony Wright: It still doesn't look 100% that Palmer will play in the first week, so I wanna see how he plays.
2. Ahmad Brooks: he's getting rave reviews from training camp, and I can't wait to see him in action.
3. Watching our new secondary: I don't know if they're all going to be playing, but man am I glad we won't have to watch Kesvaharn and Ohalate (spell check on both, LOL) suck it up any more. With Madieu Williams back from injury and Dexter Jackson over from Tampa, our safeties have been upgraded big time. Deltha O'Neal and Tory James are both very solid corners, and man are they ball hawks.

Should be fun!

Re: Cincinnati Bengals Official Thread 2006-2007: Who Dey!!

few things:

Jonathen Joseph looked good. Yes it was against second teamers, but he looked good. Like the pick so far.

Also like the pick of Andrew Whitworth. He won't play much this season unless there is an injury, but Steinbach, Williams and Braham are all in the final year of their contracts and I highly doubt the Bengals will resign any of them. Steinbach is the only one of the three under 30 and plays guard, easily the most replaceable position on the offensive line.

Good thing we got Anthony Wright. Looked good, strong arm. It's always good to have a decent backup.

Who is this Dorsey kid? The RB. I know he was running against 3rd and 4th teamers but still he looked aggressive in hitting the hole and displayed some nice vision and moves. I know nothing about him, so if anybody else has a fact sheet on him, please share.

Um, about all the off-season "issues" the Bengals have concerning the arrests and whatnot, well I'm here to tell you that stuff like that will not affect the team in any way. These guys do not even think twice about this stuff, most of them will probably pay a fine and do some community service and I guarantee this will not affect the locker room or team chemistry at all. The athletes simply do not care.

Carson Palmer might play this Friday against buffalo. I read on the Bengals site that he won't play the last preseason game because it is a friday game following a monday game.

Nice defensive struggle tonight. I didn't get to see the game at all so what was the deal? 44-32?

Didn't get a chance to watch myself, I was out of town.

Haven't heard much though.....but I heard in the 2nd half the Bengals had 9 penalties....that's way too many, but good thing most of those guys won't see much time at all

So, I was gonna wait until the end of the first half to post, but I'm too excited to wait. Impressions for the first half beatdown of the Packers.

1. Carson looks good. Not great, good. What I like is watching how quickly he scans the field.
2. Domato Peko was a steal in the draft.....he's playing great
3. Running game showed a bit of improvement, but still not quite up to par
4. Can I reiterate how happy I am to have Madieu Williams and Dexter Jackson at safety?
5. I'm really glad I just drafted TJ in my fantasy draft.

Who Dey!!
