I am of the mind you dont make players fit your system, you make a system that maximises the abilities of your players.

T.O is THE BEST yac WR on the planet. USE IT to your advantage. If teams want to double him deep early in games then freakin make them pay and send him short and give the LB's fits, and run the CB to death till he can't breathe, chasing him across the field.

They paid to get this guy, now freaking at least gameplan to feature him in a way that makes the D have to adjust to it so it opens up other parts of your offense and makes him more dangerous.

Right now Dallas seems to be content with just using him as a decoy and hope someone else gets hot enough to allow single coverage on him at some point in the game.
It's to bad Parcells doesn't realize this. Owens keeps getting bumped on long routes and it throws him off, just like the long drop he had on the eagles. I hate that that continue to try and get him going deep, that is what Terry Glenn is for. TO doesn't need to run any routes past 20 yards, get him the ball quickly on the run and let him create something. Was it not against the eagles to where he caught a 3 yard curl and turned it into a first down?

How about the fact that if he actually catches the ball those long passes would be TDs?

T.O. didn't seem to have this problem in '04. McNabb threw bombs to Owens all the time.

TO is a flake and he makes some stupid *** comments. He should stay away from microphones

however, all of this drop crap is absurd. People forget that he came back early from getting his hand surgery just to play ball. He needs another surgery on his hand for a couple of his fingers to function normally in the future, but he turned that surgery down because it would have ended his season AND HE WANTS TO PLAY FOOTBALL.

The guy has dropped some passes, yes...but he also has a lot of screws and a plate in his freakin hand. Most players wouldnt even have come back like he did.

btw, Owens leads the league in TD receptions.

You're talking as if drops aren't normal for TO. He's always amongst the league leaders. Problem is, this year, he's had some huge drops at crucial moments of big games. They're magnified.

I don't want to hear about his hand. That's an excuse. If it were really that bad, he wouldn't be out there.

further surgery on the hand would have ended his season...therefore, he didnt have the surgery and his hand is F'ed up.

From what I've seen, he suffered that damage in the Colts game. TO was dropping passes long before that game.
