Re: Chiefs and Gonzalez agree in Principle to 5-Year Extension

Just did some quick research, he doesn't hurt you guys as much as you might think. Only averages 4.7 rpg for 53 yards and .27 TD's per game. He didn't have any big games until the 2004 season. Take out the 04, 05, and 06 seasons and his averages are a whopping 3.25 receptions per game for 31 yards.

Kind of crazy when you consider how big he's been the last few years.

Yes, I am extremly bored. I'm off to bed.

Yeah, those numbers are dropping like a stone.
Gonzo's 2007 stats:

99 receptions, 1,172 yards, 5 TDs

..well above his career averages in everything except touchdowns. And this was while playing in one of this season's most abysmal offenses and after he signed his extension.

One thing is for sure, Gonzo deserves to be surrounded by a MUCH better team than the what the Chiefs can offer him right now.

So much for that eh?

Not like he lead the league in receiving yards and receptions by a TE, while playing in the NFL's second worst offense or anything..........

Nice bump btw Kanobi, I'd forgotten all about this thread.

That's really got to suck. One reception away from the century mark.
