You can't compare the two in this day in age. First, there is a new sheriff in town who clearly takes the image of the league seriously. Second, the NFL is far more advanced than it was when Hornung played, you will find there will be a lot of corporate sponsors who will get timid if Vick is on the field, this will be more true for individual teams. Third, Hornung was a golden boy from Notre Dame, whereas Vick is alleged of a crime that outrages most Americans. I could keep going, but it is as futile as comparing the two and where the NFL is today.

OOOOoooo My bad.... Didn't hear about that part. Well, if we can relate how the NFL reacted to Pac-man Jones. Vicks punishment is going to be pretty tough.

Wait one guy betted on NFL games and the other on pitbulls fighting. How could Michael Vick be worse then Hornung?

Betted?

To you he's not worse than Hornig, because you find dogfighting and the torture of animals to be perfectly acceptable. You said so yourself in this very thread.

Re: The New Official Michael Vick Thread

Apparently if the NFL really wants to ban Vick for longer than a year they can use the gambling and associating with known gamblers angle. In which case the NFL would have more than a leg to stand on.

Come on, how can you think it is not wrong. Unless you are a thug? I know a lot of thugs. Mostly because I work at J. Hall and they think their is nothing wrong with this. I think this is so wrong that I can't believe people are defending this! Now I know how they felt about me defending Bonds! lol
