Why wouldn't they have recruited him? He was All-State in football in his sophomore year. Yeah, they may have known there was a very small chance he would go to college, but you would be stuck on stupid to just not try.

That was quite a time for HS football in Virginia. Ronald Curry, Michael Vick, and Allen Iverson all playing QB in relatively the same area. That had to be fun to watch.

Shaq in his prim would be the greatest D-end/lineman of all time. He makes Peppers and Strahan look like puppies. I can see a lot of NBA players playing WR/TE. Vince, Lebron(full rides to OSU/Miami as WR), AI, and any other quick basketball players. And for those who say Lebron is too slow. He is 6'8. That is 4 full inches taller than Randy Moss.

As far as athleticism I feel NFL DB's are the most athletic. They are fast are quick as lighting and can jump. They also have to make split second moves based on another players move without a ball in their hands.

Elite athleticism is Randy Moss. 4.29 forty and a 51" vertical.

On a side note I believe A.I. was considered to number 1 recruit in football. He was a QB and DB.
The problem with NFL DBs is that most of them are on the small side....6'2 is pretty good size for an NFL player but that puts you at the PG in the NBA

As for Grant. Ah, who is faster? I would like to see that guy. Iverson undoubtedly s the quickest player.
That 4.37 speed does not translate onto the field very well because I haven't seen him do anything so far in his career

And you have to be kidding about Grant Hill. He's over 30 and had multiple ankle surgeries. Even in his prime he wasnt that fast. Smooth yes, quick yes, flat out fast, no. Watch him play on the Suns and get up & down the court and then watch his teammate Barbosa and make a logical decision.

You must not read sports illustrated. In his first big article they mentioned that he was being recruited by every major school for receiver. And what difference does it make if it looked like he was going pro? He was being recruited for basketball despite that so I don't see your point.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Yup. He played at the same time as Iverson. Vick was younger than them and him and Ronald Curry played after they left.
