Let's not forget they got rid of all the questionable footage.

As far as the original topic, they'd go with option A. Trust me.

There is no incentive to play your starters once you've got home field advantage locked up. However, the Patriots will not take the foot off the gas and I think they go perfect unless Brady gets hurt.

Personally, I think a perfect regular season should be rewarded with an automatic entrance into the conference championship. Drop the 6th playoff team and have a 4 team playoff in the AFC to play the Patriots if they go perfect. It would make the end of the season a lot more interesting than when the Colts were dogging it a couple years ago.

Ya know... I actually like that idea... a lot..

Not just because I am a Pats fan. I just think it would make it a lot more interesting for the team trying for the undefeated season.. And the teams going 8-8/9-7 trying to get in.

I think they slip up before going 15-0 and embarrass the crap out of themselves with all this talk of wanting blood. Hopefully against the Jets, too.

Not to mention, I don't really understand how option B benefits the Patriots or their fans. Or "sticks it" to the media and others.

Re: If the Patriots are 15-0 in December...

The question should be changed to: if they are 15-0, do they sit Tom Brady and start Matt Cassell?

Everybody pretty much plays a role every week. Belichick doesn't really keep a lot of players rotting away on the bench. Every week it is all hands on deck. This is demonstrated through using linebackers and defensive lineman as full backs in goal line situations, or using Troy Brown as a defensive back at times.

So Brady is the one this question is really getting to, and the answer is he will not sit down.

By most accounts, they "slipped up" against the Colts, in Indy, and still won. Their mental toughness is unprecedented.

Re: If the Patriots are 15-0 in December...

I want to go for it.

However, if we manage to make it to 14-0, we're already guaranteed homefield advantage. Actually, if we manage to go 13-0 and the Colts somehow lose over the next few weeks, we'd have HFA as well. I think we'd see alot of Cassell in those games over Brady. Good thing is, those two games are vs the Jets and Dolphins.

At the end of the day, I want to win another Super Bowl. Records are great and all but if you don't win the big one, you'll be known as the greatest team to never win the Super Bowl.
