Kudos to Fred Taylor

This guy completely amazes me.

Taylor has had countless leg, knee, ankle, and foot injuries, and he's been around seemingly forever. Yet, when healthy enough to play, he's still looks faster than anyone on the field, and has the same unbelievable ability to run between the tackles.

If he could have stayed healthy, he'd be up there in the top 5 in rushing yards of all time.

I agree. I think he is a phenomenal back and with Jones-Drew there probably has another 2 or 3 years left in him. If he can get about 1000 yds a year, he'll end up in the top 10.

Re: Kudos to Fred Taylor

The guy doesn't get much pub but he's really been Mr. Jaguar throughout his career, and to think, they thought that Bosselli would be the face of the franchise LOL!

You gotta love a guy like Taylor though, he plays through just about every injury possible and is still effective. Just think, if he played 40 years ago he wouldn't have lasted this long. He's definitely an underrated back IMO.

Re: Kudos to Fred Taylor

yeah...he gets a bad rap because of fantasy fball owners who have had him on his team

really hate how people judge players based on their fantasy value

I think it's insane that the second leading active rushing yards leader has never been to a Pro Bowl. And since he now splits time with MJD, I doubt he will ever go there.

Yeah, he's probably my favorite NFL Player. Too bad he got hit those injuries early on and people stuck him the Fragile Fred Talk. That's probably one of the reasons why you don't hear much about him.

Re: Kudos to Fred Taylor

He was pulling away from Buffalo guys on that TD run yesterday and I had no idea how. He's a damn good football player.

A great talent. The best RB tandem in the league IMO. Plus they got Greg Jones for a FB, he's a beast!
