Is the Deacon Jones headslap still legal?

Im watching the top ten pass rushers on NFL network and this came to mind......the guy is a beast!! he was slapping people unconcious...

maybe im not very observant but I dont see this anymore.......is it still legal?
I would think so, Marion Barber basically throws punches as stiffarms

It's been illegal since the mid '70s I believe. That was a cool defensive move IMO though.

Bob Brown told Deacon Jones not to head slap him in practice when they were playing together on the Rams.

Apparently Brown did not like being head slapped, and replaced the short screws that hold the jaw pad in his helmet with long ones that he filed off.

Jones head slapped him again in practice and impaled his hand on the screws, leaving him with a nasty injury and a scar.

Deacon use to beat fool up. I think it was unfair because offensive linemen couldn't use their hands to block.
