Re: Bills @ Redskins

Calling two timeouts in a row is unfair to the opponent. When you call the timeout the first time, your team should be ready when they come back out on the field. There's no excuse for that. It's a fair rule in my opinion. I feel sorry for Washington for what they've had to go through in this past week.

NOBODY circles the wagons...

...like the BUFFALO BILLS!!

Great win today by the Bills. They were in a tough spot, going into Washington after the emotional week they've had. Let's face it. They were supposed to lose this game. That's how the script was written.

But someone forgot to tell the Bills that and they came up big when it mattered. 6-6 and the Browns lost...it's a long shot, but they still have a chance at the playoffs.

What's really crazy is that the Bills are two FG's with no time left on the clock from being 8-4.

Re: Bills @ Redskins

They did... and it was a horrible idea. I really hope that doesn't happen again. The 22 yard run didn't cost them the game. Probably didn't even shift momentum, but the potential was certainly there. Both teams are still in the playoff hunt. I'm sure ST wouldn't have wanted to be honored in any way that could hurt the team's chances. He'd rather be honored by a successful season, a superbowl... not by giving up 22 yards on the first play of this game of all games.

Sorry, the thread was moved... this is in response to starting with 10 men on the field. It put them at a disadvantage and put the Bills in an awkward situation. The only response is that it's not about the game but with 2 teams fighting for playoff spots and all other teams also effected by the outcome, it's definitely about the game. It's a shame that the season couldn't stop during a tough time like this, but it's not good to do anything that could effect the outcome of the game.

Re: Bills @ Redskins

I missed it. Tried to get to my local bar and catch the first play but missed it.
I saw they put 10 on the field but did they call a foul on it? Did the Bills take advantage of it or kneeled on it? What happend? I read there was 22 yards on the first play in this thread but was that the very first play or the first play after the "missing man" formation?

Re: Bills @ Redskins

They did a hand off and Jackson the RB cut to the outside left of the field and broke off a 22 yard run.

Re: Bills @ Redskins

It really wasn't a good idea, and like wwharton said, both teams need a playoff spot. Don't put 10 men on the field up by 3 and expect the offense to go along with it.
