I actually think Gumbel called him Al Gore last year also.

Going for it on 4th down, nothing to lose. I agree with the call but they couldn't execute. 6:15 left in the 4th with the Bengals getting it at the 24 yard line.

Ooh, I do NOT like that decision by the 49ers. Not because they didn't get it, but with an offense like the Bengals that can go from cold to hot so quickly...a 2 score lead is important.

We're 3-10. Nothing at all to lose, showing the fans that we can be agressive since we have been really lacking that all season. Not fighting for a high draft pick. Also seeing how Shaun Hill can handle the pressure. Fantastic play calling finally.

Re: Bengals At 49ers

Bengals went for it on 4th down after changing their minds about punting. They picked it up with a nice catch and run by TJ. Houshmandzadeh.

Like Gumbel said though, you play to win. The Bengals are 5-8, so both suck. You give the Bengals the ball with 6:43 to go up 2 scores, you've pretty much won. You instead miss it, you give them the ball with 6:43 to go and they only need a TD to tie.

We'll agree to disagree I guess.

Big 3rd down for cincy.
