Take the points--make it a two possession lead.
Or.... you could run the clock out with a few kneel downs and never have to give up the ball.

when a player does something stupid on the field were all over him (see Roy Williams thread), but when a player does something smart on the field hes getting to much credit.

But with this, they were able to take three knees and win, and the Cowboys didn't have a chance to win. It was a pretty smart play, but he didn't find life of Mars or anything. I've seen smarter decisions on the football field.

He still should have scored, in my opinion.

The game would have been done either way.

Then you give Dallas a chance to score, get an onside kick, and score again. Was it likely to happen the way they played on Sunday? No, but it could have.

I don't watch many Cowboys games. Has T.O. resumed his cussing out of anyone within earshot? I could've fried an egg on his head during some moments, last Sunday.

Either way, his smart decision directly lead to a W. Bottom line.
