Re: Bears QB Situation + their other problems

I don't get the obsession with Thomas Jones. He's a good back and did really well in Chicago but him leaving is FAR from the reason the Bears are where they are now. Look at his stats this year. He's not exactly lighting the world on fire for the Jets. As a Ravens fan, should I think they stink this year b/c they let Jamal Lewis go considering he's playing well and Cleveland's winning?

Truth is neither Jamal or Chester Taylor did a thing 2 years ago when the Ravens line was a mess like the Bears line is right now. Benson's not Peterson but the Bear's line isn't the Vikings line either. RB is very far from the biggest issue. They've got a solid 1-2 punch.

Either try to get McNabb from the Eagles or draft Andre Woodson. Stay away from Matt Ryan!

I think McNabb is a better option. They already have a guy with a very strong arm who makes questionable decisions at times lol

I think the Chicago receivers are severely overrated though. They drop alot of easy passes that would make Rex look alot better and put him in better situations to succeed.

Get ready for the Chad Pennington Michael Turner Era in Chicago.

Then Pray that Matt Ryan falls to you in the draft.

Fruedian slip?

I actually think Ryan would be better off on a team where he can be a backup for a year or two.

QB: Draft Matt Ryan. Maybe, we'll have our franchise QB for a change.
RB: I won't stomach another year of Benson/Peterson. They both suck.
WR: Be done with Mark Bradley. The guy is useless when on the field.
OLine: Draft Jake Long if he's still available. Sign Jordan Gross.
S: We need some new safety's.
LB: If we let Briggs walk. I'm praying he signs an extension.
DLine: Draft or sign some more depth.
CB: We're fine with Vasher & Tillman.
TE: We're fine with Olsen & Clark.

Exactly. The whole Thomas Jones thing is so overblown. People always focus on QB, RB, etc. The Oline has been the main offenseive problem all year. But I don't think people see the whole game. Hell even Ditka back in week 3 saw it. When everyone was screaming for Rex to get benched and for TJ to come back, he said, "If anyone out there thinks that the problem is the QB, then you don't know football."

But when has Angelo ever built a good oline?
