russell wasn't anymore of a physical specimen than Dante Culpepper. He shows a big arm and little else. He was able to put together some very good (not great) stats in a tough SEC, but he was probably only rated that highly on the Raiders board and no one elses because the only time Al Davis doesn't need Viagra is when he thinks he has a Quarterback who can chuck the magic bean downfield even though they haven't had a successful vertical passing game in over 2 decades. Yet they've been most successful with a west coast system when Rich Gannon was there.

I would like to see Fargas resigned, but not at an exhorbitant cost.

I would be happy with Berrian, Andre Davis or Bryant Johnson. Maybe Johnnie Lee Higgins can develop into a legitimate deep threat, but they desperately need some help at WR.
Well it goes without saying that if Fargas is resigned, one of the other top runningbacks won't be back next season whether that be Rhodes or Jordan. In either case, I don't mind Porter starting on one side, with Curry as the (oft injured) 3rd receiver. The other starter probably should be a free agent since there's not a whole lot of depth for receiver in this draft.

I agree. I would like to see them keep Fargas and Rhodes, and resign Porter. If they can get a good free agent WR and resign Porter, that is a decent set of WR.

Any word on Michael Bush? He expected to provide anything next season? And how many years does Jordan have left on his contract he signed?

Bush is expected to compete for the staring job next season. He really is just back to 100 percent, and I will be very intersted to see how he performs.

I believe Jordan has 2 years left on his contract.

Jordan would have some value as a change of pace guy and a pass catcher, but just not at the number they signed him. You think they still might aim to nab a back on the 1st day if a guy slips to them?

mcfadden might be a raider other then that its highly unlikely, also jordan is as good as cut he has fallen way out of kiffens favor, he asked for his release in the season but the raiders didnt cut him because he might'ev been signed by the broncos or chiefs. also after watching the pats game isnt stallworth a f.a. the bad thing about him is he gets hurt.

I tend to agree. I guess they might decide McFadden is too good to passs up, but it really seems that they can be sucessful without an outright stud RB in theire new system.

Fargas, Jordan and Rhodes all 3 put up good numbers in it.

They have glaring holes elsewhere that need to be addressed before they take another running back.
