How many safeties from the 80's made in the hall of fame?

If Easley was on a playoff contender I think he'd be in, he was as good as they come.

Seem unfair that only one converted corner back made it to the Hall of Fame. He made 6 All Pro teams and it almost like he never played. I never knew about his kidney issues. I hope Sanders award put some shine on this great football player.

Kenny Easley was a trained killer. That guy was as legit as they come.

Probably the most underrated player to play that position.

Do you think Kenny was a hall of fame caliber player? I find the lack of true safeties in the hall of fame interesting.

The best aspect of Sanders award that he was rewarded for his in the box play. In the past when safeties won the defensive mvp award was because of their interceptions numbers.

I might be biased, but I do. Since the Seahawks were in the AFC west then, I was well aware of his prowess (playing the Raiders twice a year).

To cosign what BK said Kenny Easley was an abosolute stud and really was a game changer ala Tatum, Lott etc.

I think the only reason he isn't already in is that he did not play that long. If memory serves he was only in the league like 6 or 7 years, but he was a perennial pro bowler. He and Jacob Green were the faces of the Seahawks defense.
