Neither do I.... dying young shouldn't make you a lock. Andre Reed, Monk and Carter are more deserving IMO. I think this class does lack superstars though and I see Thomas getting in. It'll probably be two of the WR's Green and DT.

How can a hall of famer not be a superstar?

The world wants to know.

Well there are several non skill position players, I really meant big names that are automatic locks. IMO this is going to be a weak HOF class.

Re: HoF Finalists announced

I watched a youtube account with Monk's greatest games last night and i'm convinced more then ever that he's the Marvin Harrison of his time. The guy was tough, took wicked shots and was athletic.

One thing that people forget is that the Redskins' WR corps at that time was rather small. (they were called the smurfs) and Monk was the guy that had to take the tough shots up the middle. That's why his YPC looks a bit low. The guy HAD to go and get the tough yards for first down at important times.

Ah well....If he doesn't get in this year he's never gonna get in IMO.

I like Monk, I just don't see them voting him in...he deserves it, just won't get it sadly

If Guy get in, that means APF legend choices may slowly get validated as being truly 'legends' ....next year it's brian bosworth's turn lol

Well, Punter is a position in football and Guy is unanimously considered the best punter in the history of the game.
