Re: Dungy Steps Down

Classy guy. When I was in high school, there was a guy a year older than me. I don't remember his name (I really should) however he ended up dying from cancer in his senior year. He was one of those people who seemed to be really nice to everyone, and always help them out (I say seem because I never met him/talked to him). He was quite a Colts fan as well. He fought his cancer to the end, he was somebody that didnt just let it take them over. Upon his death, he had written a letter he wanted to send to the Colts. Dungy got ahold of the letter, and read it out to the team, and wrote a very nice hand written note back to the parents. Thats all I remember to the story, I think there was more, but I first hear that story about 4ish years ago. Just thought I'd share.

I work downtown with both my jobs, fulltime at WSJS and nights at ISP Sports, but live in the western part of town, off of Country Club Rd. between Jonestown and Peacehaven.

Losing? Nahh. He's just taking a break. He'll be a head coach again in 2-3 years.

Re: Dungy Steps Down

I always respected how he carried himself on and off the field. Wish him the best.

I know where you are. I used to live in the Country Club apts, right at the end of Jonestown Rd. I work downtown as well. I work in the Old Wachovia Bldg, it is now known as the Winston Tower. I do marketing law.

Maybe I'm wrong, and I probably am, but he just strikes me as a different kind of guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he left the game for good.
