He sounds like Sean Payton pt. 2.

I have no idea. But the NFL coaching carousel is the ultimate hype machine. Hot assistants are usually the same as hot college coaches.

Just remember, there once was a time when the hottest assistant out of Dallas was Dave Wannestedt.

Look at what happened to San Diego last year. Their assitants leave, ones already been fired, one lost again in the playoffs. Norm is brought in and it's the end of the world, yet he's one game away from the Super Bowl.

Coaches are extremely over rated. You dont' become a bad/good coach overnight.

That's the vibe i'm getting but something tells me he won't be nearly as successful as Payton.

The one thing that's for sure is that the NFL is a copycat league. They see a couple young coaches having very good success and they want to emulate that. At least some of this is different then just hiring old guys who are quite frankly burnt out.

Haha, I get the EXACT same feel, jmood. But I don't think he'll be as good as HC as Payton.

It's a lot sexier to be the offensive coordinator of "America's Team" rather than, say, the Cleveland Browns... For better or worse, when something happens in Big D, NFL-wise, the rest of the league tends to sit up and take notice.
