Yeah Andre Woodson would not be a good pick for the Bears,..he needs lots of work and development.

I'm telling you Brian Brohn is the man,..he's in the mold of a Jim Kelly!

His stock has dropped mainly because Louisville had a bad season, because they had a crappy offense.

He has played in an NFL Style offense in college and I think he would make a solid NFL starter.

Draft priorities:

1. Offensive tackle. It’s a good year to be looking for one in the first round even if Ole Miss’ Michael Oher has decided to return to school.

2. Quarterback. The turnstile spun three times this past season.

3. Wide receiver. Bernard Berrian is a free agent and a playmaker is needed even if they manage to bring him back.

4. Safety. Angelo said it best ... he cannot count on Mike Brown.

5. Running back. This need could jump up if the right player is available in the draft but when you look at how Green Bay solved its problems with Ryan Grant, you wonder if the Bears will choose a different path.

6. Defensive tackle. The rotating nose tackle might have hurt Tommie Harris as much as his hamstring and knee.

7. Guard. They don’t have a lot of youth here either.

8. Linebacker. This is one position the team uses to build its core on special teams. Oh yeah, Lance Briggs will probably depart in free agency too.

Bears Picks:

RD1 P14
RD2 P45
RD3 P76
RD3 P91 (from Chargers)
RD4 P107
RD5 P137 (from Panthers)
Traded their 5th Rounder to Bills
RD6 P169
RD7 P207
What about something like this:
1) Jeff Otah, OT
2) Chad Henne, QB
3) Eddie Royal, WR
3) Jonathan Hefney, S
4) Kevin Smith, RB
5) Bryan Kehl, OLB
6) Keilen D*ykes, DT
7) Tyler Polumbus, OT

OK, this thing that Im participating in is underway. It takes place over several days. I was looking at Otah or Chris Williams (actually I prefer Williams as a LT) and Carolina took Otah right in front of me, which made my choice easy. Any thoughts on which way I should go next? Im actually thinking of drafting Carl Nicks or Jamaal Charles in the 2nd and then drafting Josh Johnson in the 3rd. Thoughts?

Re: Bears fans: What are your draft priorities?

So far, I have:
1. Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt
2. Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas
3. Shawn Crable, OLB, Michigan -- pending
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

I know OLB isnt the biggest need but I thought the value with Crable in the 3rd combined with Urlachers recent back problems, I thought Crable would be a good get.

Thoughts?

Man, if they made those picks I would be pretty happy as a fan, I'd love to see J. Charles available in the 2nd. I'd say WR would have to be next, but no Eddie Royal.

Cool.

Well, if Josh Johnson is still available at your 2nd pick in the 3rd round, Id probably take him. He threw 43 TDs with only 1 INT at San Diego. Yeah, its San Diego but its still outstanding. He was coached by Jim Harbaugh and lit it up at the East-West game. Plus he had the fastest 40 times for QBs. Basically, he appears to be a coachable, mobile QB who can pass.

Then in the 4th, Id be targeting WR, OG or S. Im thinking Nelson, Jackson, or Franklin for WR, Felton or John Greco at G, or Jon Hefney at S.

I like that so far and I would be thrilled if it went down like that. Hopefully they steal a WR at 3 though.

Re: Bears fans: What are your draft priorities?

OK, I have two mocks that Im participating in (they move slow to accommodate peoples' schedules since its on the internet) and this is what I have to this point for each.

1. Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt
2. Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas
3. Shawn Crable, SLB, Michigan
3. Josh Johnson, QB, San Diego
4. Eddie Royal, WR, Virginia Tech (pending)
Thats where things currently stand with that one. I wanted Jordy Nelson but he was taken.

Here is another one Im in, again, as the Bears:

1. Jeff Otah, OT, Pitt
2. Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas
3. Jordy Nelson, WR, Kansas State
3. Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky
Thats where it stands now.

Which do you think is better?
