Re: Dangerous precedent being set by KFC??

An individual doing a chicken dance in the end zone does not affect the play in the game. Not one iota. People are making up a problem. If you don't like it, you don't like it. That's your opinion. But folks need to stop fabricating some dilemna that doesn't exist.

Yeah, but that would be after the Super Bowl. At that point, I'm sure they would need some sort of licensing agreement with the NFL to use the video.

It's a control thing, if I was the NFL I'd say 'get off my turf loser KFC' lol
Good analogy --- that's the way I see it. If the NFL wants an NFL ad to appear on KFC chicken buckets, they should pay KFC. Bribing KFC employees to write the ads themselves would be a little underhanded.

But KFC is not getting their logo, or an ad posted on TV, on the NFLs time. It's a celebration dance. Unless people have read the same article as we have, most won't even know what it's about.

Well it is the "chicken" dance, and the player is being pressured to do it by Kentucky Fried "Chicken," who just happens to be running a huge "Show Us Your Hot Wings" promotion where fans are submitting creative "chicken" dance videos.

"Pressured"? Again, give me a break.

Seriously, where is there pressure? The players don't gain any benefit from this.

They are offering to give $260,000 to a charity in the name of the player that does it. Feel free to substitute another word for "pressure." But KFC is definitely dangling a carrot of sorts in front of the players. Would "entice" be more appropriate?
