The trade worked out for both teams though. SD didn't win a SB or anything, but they are still good.

The main part of the trade that makes me happy is that SD wanted Osi Umenyiora and Acorsi just wouldn't include him in the deal.

I don't buy that. The Giants played in one of the 2 or 3 toughest divisions in football this year and they had to go through Dallas and Green Bay who both had top 5 offenses and were a combined 7-1 vs the AFC.

AFC might be deeper but that doesn't automatically mean an AFC team has a tougher road to the SB than an NFC team.

Eli played incredibly. There were so many dropped passes in this game it was unbelievable. He would've had over 300 yards with 3tds and 0 interceptions if it wasn't for the drops.
Greatest performances the world has ever seen?

Going a bit overboard just tad there don't you think?

For engineering the greatest final drive in SB History, Eli Manning gets the nod on this-1

I'm going to have to go with Eli. Walter Payton didn't have a great Super Bowl XX. Only 61 yards off of 22 carries and zero touchdowns (he can thank Ditka and the Fridge for that). I will give Sweetness credit for it being so close to the end of his career, but Eli had a lot more to do with the Giants winning than Walter had with the Bears winning.

This thread is about Walter Payton, right? Because Eli's brother isn't Payton, it's Peyton.
