I like you're point... but I didn't say that.

My point is Boss is solid in his own right. If we can use him as trade bait for a better player at another position, (FB, maybe?) why not do it?

Would you agree that he has always demanded attention, whether it was intentional or not? Between talking about the coaches in a negative light with the media to the refusal to train with the team early on....

Didn't it look like the Giants had better protection against the pass rush recently? Can that be attributed to plays where Boss is in blocking as opposed to Shockey?

And yes, I do believe Shockey is the better blocker... that's not what I'm saying here though.

He's solid, but he's not nearly as good as Shockey. That being said, I doubt if Shockey's trade value is very high coming off an injury with all the other baggage he brings. Plus we already have Madison Hedgecock at FB and he's the freakin man.

I agree that he likes to be in the limelight, but I also think he's one of the guys the media looks for when they want some juicy comments. We know how easily comments can be taken out of context.

Strahan has also made plenty of negative comments about the coaching staff (especially Coughlin) and he skipped training camp. Why does he get a pass?

Plaxico always throws his hands up after Eli misses him when he's open, or throws the other way. Why does he get a pass?

Dude, he was a first round pick, don't short change us, at least get us a bag of clean towels. If it's indeed dirty towel, at least get us the towel that was dirtied by Jessica Alba wiping her a$$.

I forgot what game it was, it was either last year or the year before, when SHockey caught a pass for a first down, mind you, ONLY a first down, he excitedly got up from the ground and got so demonstrative that the ref threw a flag for taunting, negated the first down for the team. I don't watch other teams that often, but I don't think I've ever seen Jason Witten or Tood Heap doing that.

You have a point with Strahan although the guy is a future HOFer. All-time leader in Sacks for the Giants? C'mon....

And comparing what Shockey does to Plax throwing up his arms is reaching. C'moooooooooon cam... you know it! It's not like he's doing anything major. Everyone gets frustrated at times like that. Shockey is a media whore. Everyone knows that, even guys that love him.

It was this year against some team that I can't remember. However on Sunday Night football Wes Welker did the same thing and did not get called for a penalty the way Shockey did. People tend to look at Shockey and everything he does in high scrutiny good or bad. I personally would like to keep him but if he refuses to come early and work with Eli this off season then it may be time to let him go and get a pick to use on a strong safety.
