Rams players sue Pats for Superbowl loss

Some former Rams players have put a 100 million dollar lawsuit on the Pats, naming Kraft and Belli-cheat specifically. This info can be found on any 2K sports game online with the News ticker. Get that money if you couldn't get the ring.

I know people will have alot of negative thngs to say about this. The exorbitant amount certainly is worthy of attack. But the NFL is certainly not doing anything to prevent people from cheating.

Wow, i didn't know owners could sue other owners, especially for something that happened 7-8 years ago

Goodell is the fool.

1. He should never have destroyed the tapes.
2. The punishment of draft picks should have been way steeper. Should have been along the lines of what happened to the Minnesota T-Wolves. The Pats should have been stripped of multiple #1 draft choices for a number of years.

I like how they don't name the player. I bet it's someone unrecognizable.

Someone who's broke trying to get money.

He really did not think through the repercussions that would come from him destroying those tapes. For a guy who tries to put on a no-nonsense front he really screwed the pooch here.

Re: Rams players sue Pats for Superbowl loss

The lawsuit is kinda silly, of course, no way to know if the Rams were really cheated out of a Super Bowl or not (I personally think NE cheated throughout the game, clutching and grabbing the Rams WRs, but the refs didn't want to turn the Super Bowl into a flag-fest), and there is no way real reparations can be made. The one good thing that may come of this is that there might be a much deeper investigation than what the NFL or even Specter are willing to go forward with.

And I agree with a previous poster: given that Goodell knew Belichick had been doing this for years, the penalty should have been MUCH harsher in regard to draft picks. That they still have an early pick in this year's draft is a complete joke. I am hoping this all leads to at least a lengthy suspension for Belichick, but I am very doubtful that much is going to come of this.
