adding LB depth to an already deep core. Probably going to come off the bench or rotate with Cooper and Wilhelm. Now have Cooper, Wilhelm, Smith, Siler, Waters (i think will be a stud), Dobbins (not looking good for him, decent special teams but bordering too many LB's)

what do you guys think of the Smith signing with SD?

Good luck... I guess if he is just going to be for depth, it's okay.

He's there for depth. And unlike the playing for the 49'ers, there will be a lot of talent around him on the defense when he does play, so he just has to fill a particular role.
