I hope Bears fans are ready for mediocrity for the next couple of years. This is absolutely pathetic!

Davis basically gives Tommy Kelly a $50 million dollar contract due to not wanting any more holes but they let Jerry Porter go?? ok...

Re: 2008 Free Agency thread

Source: profootballtalk.com - In 2006, the Bills signed defensive tackle Larry Tripplett to a five-year deal. Today, Tripplett got dumped.

The move might have something to do with the fact that the Bills are courting Marcus Stroud, a Pro Bowler who has received permission from the Jags to shop himself to other teams.

If other deals are any indication, Stroud can be had for a three and a five.

The Broncos cut LB Ian Gold to go along with WR J. Walker.

Re: 2008 Free Agency thread

ESPN.com is reporting that the Jets signed Alan Faneca to a four-year, $32 million contract. The deal includes $23 million in guarantees.

Faneca's agent is denying it, ofcourse.

Also, S Gibril Wilson's deal with the Raiders will be for six years and $39 million.

Rams released DE James Hall. The move immediately saves St. Louis $3.5 million, but leaves the Rams without a realistic bookend for Leonard Little. Maybe they are targeting a DE in the draft??

Re: 2008 Free Agency thread

I'm glad with the Faneca signing. 4 years seems just about right as probably has at least 2 good years left in him. At least they are addressing the issues this offseason, by getting a LG and a NT. Now all that's left is an OLB (Gholston?), a RT, and maybe another CB to go opposite Revis.
