How come no has picked up this guy Byron Leftwich.

I mean I know he didn't look good with the Falcons but that entire team was a disaster.

Call me crazy but I still think that he has the potential to be a steady starting QB in the NFL. Not a superstar, but a decent starter or a least a steady back-up QB.

He probably think he's still starter material when really he's just a decent backup. He thrived playing with a very good O-line in JAX and once he went to a place where he had to move around and such he was exposed as not being nearly athletic enough. I also think he has some character issues as that was one reason why Del Rio and the Jags cut him in the first place.

Re: Have Teams given up on Byron Leftwich, is he done?

The only reason he lasted as long as he did in Jax was that he was Del Rio and Harris first pick. Harris still didn't want to cut him, but Del Rio ended up getting his way. I don't know if the guy has an attitude problem, but in interviews, he hints that nothing is wrong, he isn't the problem, etc. The guy has a long windup and is too stupid/stubborn to change it. I don't care what he does, have fun not playing football.

Maybe you can tell I don't like him, after having to watch him as the Jags QB, I was happy when he was cut.

I still like Byron. If he cuts down that ridiculous windup just a little bit, he'd be fine. Perhaps his arm has been used so much that way that he can't throw a ball with decent mechanics?
