Favre should be the cover of APF 2k9. I would buy the game if he's in the game. He's one of the best in the History of the game. He says wonder when Bears fan say they liked them.

Don't try to lay the blame at Favre's feet. The team is ultimately responsible for the lack of talent they fielded the few years prior to last season.

If you can't recognize that Favre was still an upper echelon QB then I don't know what to tell you.

So Brett never got that elusive 1st win at Texas Stadium...

Seriously, this is a sad day for all who love the game of football. The NFL won't be quite the same without him.

So because he is an upper tier player his behavior and actions are acceptable?

He should retire. Do it when they want more. Not when they want you out.

Re: Brett Favre Retires

Why was he so obsessed with Moss when Jennings, Driver, and the other receivers were very good. The Packers wouldn't have beaten the Giants with Moss. They needed a corner that could contain Plax and a Favre that doesn't throw the ball away with the game on the line.

He was a great but overrated QB.

What behavior and actions are you talking about?

Waiting until you are absolutely certain what YOU want to do with YOUR career, to announce your decision?

No matter what Favre decided these past few years, GB knew they would have a Quarterback. What difference would it make if Brett made his decision in January, or if he made it in April?
