Yep, they just broke it on Mike & Mike. Mort says he informed McCarthy he's not coming back. Coincidentally it comes the day after Moss resigned with the Patriots.

There are no plans for a press conference yet as there are reports that Favre just isn't that happy.

End of an era.

that sucks.

But with young teams, you never know how they'll repeat the next year. It's obvious the team didn't care if he left, as they could have offered Moss a 3 year contract as well.
