The damage is still done and I'd hardly say it was a good deal for the Raiders. It gives the appearance that Davis is hoping for cap-free years if the owners opt out of the current CBA.

He's playing with fire.

The guranteed money is high, but its spread out over the life of the contract (which is 7 years). High yes, but not quite as bad as it seems. If Kelly stays healthy, I actually think he will be worth it in the long run.

I have less of a problem giving big money to a solid veteran player than gambling on an unproven rookie (see Jamarcus Russell).

As a Raider fan I can honestly say that we will never win a Super Bowl until Al Davis turns over the reigns to someone else.

Never took you for a Raider fan, or even a big pro football fan.

A lot of them have been crawling back into the shadows ever since January 26, 2003.

yeah, I like both. I love football both college and pro and have been a Raiders fan for as long as I can remember.

Waiting for Directv to offer me a discounted rate on NFL Sunday Ticket so that I can get my "season" tickets for the Raiders' games.

I am a proud Raiders' fan.(and disappointed) Just never posted in this forum all that much. Not sure why, just always either posting in the current sports game forum that I am playing or playing the game.
