640 YAC on 112 recpetions is not something to brag about. Puts him about the same as everyone else.

Interesting name on there speaking of after the catch guys. Brandon Marshall, he's definitely a good after the catch guy.

Imo, and strictly my opinion again, he's simply the best WR in the game at this point in time.

Neither is 358 on 81 catches. Owens isn't looking that great on those stats - #27 on the list.

If Owens doubled his catches and YAC, he'd have only 76 yards with 50 more catches on his sheet.

actually I laughed at first, but welker has 5.74 yards after catch AVERAGE...and accounted for more than half his total recieving yards. That's very impressive.
Owens I believe is more DANGEROUS because he is more likely to stiff arm a cb to the ground and bust a huge play....but on a play by play basis, welker is tops for wr's in the nfl this past season.
It's not just because he plays for NE, because no other WR on the team was even close to Welker in this stat...moss was hundreds of yards away.

Yeah but he should drop off a bit once Defensive Coordinators start wheeling tvs onto the field on passing downs.

Right but look how Dallas deploys Owens now. It's not like when he was running the WCO in Philly or SF. He's not like Welker where every ball is caught within 5 yards of the LOS.

Owens averaged almost 17 yards per reception. In Dallas he's running a lot more routes down the field and in to the teeth of the coverage. He's not going to generate the same statistics in that category as he would when he was in SF and was catching slants and running through everyone.

Now if we're talking run after catch guys, is your opinion purely stats, or do you honestly believe Welker has more ability than TO?
