Urlacher looking to get out of Chicago?

My favorite quote from the story...

Quote:
Urlacher is respected in the locker room, although his role as a team leader has been overstated -- he's a leader by example who prefers to be one of the guys -- and the notion that players will revolt if he doesn't get paid is flat-out absurd. Players revolt only on an individual basis when they aren't getting paid.

I wouldn't think so...Unless Bears management wants to be responsible for the Great Chicago Fire II that would result from such a boneheaded move......Not gonna happen. No way no how...

Eh, I wouldn't read too much into this retirement/trade threat. I think Brian Urlacher just wants his contract restructured, and he's finding ways to stir things up with Bears management in order to get it. Especially since his teammate Lance Briggs has recently signed a multiyear contract with an increased base salary.
