Wears them down all game, then Turner gets in and in 5-6 carries rattles off 50 yards. Nothing against Turner, he's a nice little "pinball" type back, but he's not worth the cash nor the pub he's gotten in going to Atlanta.

Maybe I'll be wrong, as I like Turner a lot, actually, I'd like to be wrong, but that's how I see him now.
Yeah, I could see that. He played pretty well when he got extended time, and in Atlanta he'll still split carries in a 2 back system. I just don't think they block well enough up front, nor have any sort of passing game to threaten the defense. I think it will be difficult for him or any RB to be overly succesful in Atlanta this year.

Re: Most Overrated Players

Is Roy Williams even overrated anymore? I think everyone knows he sucks in coverage by now.

Only because I have heard his name and "shutdown" in too many sentences together. Like I said, I think he's a good player, but not the elite player some people seem to think of him as.

Atlanta will have a fine running and passing attack when you know who gets reinstated.

Well, at least they will have running.

Opps, forgot my list.

Alan Faneca
Tedy Bruschi
Jeremy Shockey

Reggie Bush seems a bit close just because he doesn't appear to want to run forward.
Vernon Davis
Marvin Lewis as a defensive coach/manager. (yeah, he isn't a player but deal with it)

I agree. Hell I think the term "shutdown" is overrated itself. That's just a term folks at ESPN and Deion Sanders came up with. I remember when they said DeAngelo Hall was a "shut down" CB, almost died from laughter with that one.

Agreed. Much like the Loch Ness Monster, the Shutdown CB is a myth, imo.
