Sanders flys to the football and makes plays, but also routinely gets beat on play action and misses tackles in the open field. The Colts are better with him on the field, but that's not saying much.
Have you ever really watched the bears play. Don get me wrong, he has his moments of innefectiveness like many defensive players. But do you not recall the ridiculous comback the Bears had against the cards 2 years ago where he had like 20 tackles. Or him all but keeping the bears in the playoffs agianst the panthers a few years back. How about the game against the Falcons in that same year. Or two years ago against the Rams. I can think of countless games where Urlacher has taken the game over on D. No to mention his int's are very high for a MLB and all of the blocks he throws and takes for guys like Briggs to get thier numbers up.

Yup watched plenty of Bears games. Just watched them with an unbiased eye.

Cards game stood out, of course they kept running the same iso play over and over again, and not blocking him. I think I could have had 20 tackles that game.

Not saying he's not a good player, but imo, he's not as good as his rep.

As usual we will have to agree to disagree...
I guess rare athleticism, 7 pro bowls, and elite stats arent enough these days.
I believe this is one time that I would actually have the majority of knowledgable posters on my side though.

I would like to hear what MLBs you would consider better.

YMMV, everyone has different opinion. Much like your opinion on how superior the Bears were to the Chargers before they played. Besides, we've already established you can't talk about the Bears objectively.

The 7 Pro Bowls prove my point, and you can take all of the defensive stats you want. I've seen the guy play. Good player, not a great player, imo.

who's better at mlb, safety in your eyes?
at this rate by what some people are saying, there are no 'great' players in the nfl.

you can still be a great player and be overrated.

People overrate Urlacher somewhat (mainly because of the jersey he wears imo)

In Urlacher's case, it depends on how you want to deploy them. We talking a even front, cover 2 type defense. We looking at a 3-4 type defense the Chargers or Cowboys run, or one like the Pats run?

I like Nick Barnett, Lofa Tatupu, DJ Williams, etc. I think Patrick Willis (completely different role) is an up and comer. Not to mention guys like Mike Peterson, and Jonathon Vilma (in the right scheme).
