He sure didnt look like a pro prospect to me either.

but, to be fair, he did not fit the spread type of offense at all after the Ducks switched to that...still, he didnt show much in his time at Oregon.

what is the Chargers' backup QB situation?

Chargers current QBs:

Phillip Rivers
Billy Volek
Charlie Whitehurst
Casey Bramlet (claimed off waivers from Miami 3 days ago)

So I'll be pretty shocked if Leaf even makes their practice squad, I'd say way less than a 0% chance he unseats any of Rivers, Volek, or Whitehurst.

Did Brian Paysinger get picked up at all? I bailed on the draft today to watch NBA Playoffs so he might have been picked but I doubt it. Nice to see the ultimate underachiever in Cameron Colvin will go to my Niners and continue my disapointment with him.

In terms of Leaf, he didnt fit the spread offense at all, he couldnt be any slower in terms of mobility, but that still doesnt explain the problems with holding the ball too long and missing open receivers. I dont think Leaf has any upside at all, no matter the system, he is destined to be bagging my groceries soon.

Im not sure how the offseason might have changed things but San Diego has Billy Volek and Charlie Whitehurst backing up Rivers. Like I said though, I dont know if either of them were let go of, so that could change things, I did a simple check of yahoo for that information.

On a side note, how long does it take for Minnesota to give John David Booty a shot at QB? Jackson is a project imo, and Booty has been running a pro style offense at USC. I cant wait to see how he does given the chance.

Re: UDFA signings

Love the signing of Marcus Dixon. This is a kid who got railroaded by a racist justice system in the state of Georgia for having sex with an underage white girl. He had a full ride to Vanderbilt as a 4* DE before being convicted and unjustly punished. I hope he makes it and makes it big.

Florida State DE Alex Boston signed with Jacksonville.
Florida State SS Anthony Houlis signed with Tampa Bay.

Any word if someone took a flyer on Xavier Lee?
