That's quite an overstatement. I'm willing to wager cash money that Crabtree will not be a top 5 pick is whichever draft he's in.

Just because he's at Texas Tech doesn't automatically mean he's a 'product of the system'. Sure, his numbers are higher because of that but he'd be a beast no matter what school he played.

I'd put down cash money in betting he's a Top 5 pick (in 09 or 10)

Re: Fox Sports 2009 Mock Draft

Reading the great "Tim Tebow" debate was interesting...I have no idea how Tebow will do in the NFL, but I hadn't ever doubted he'd be a first round if not Top 10 pick. I'm not a QB coach, but for those guys who know such things, are his mechanics that poor? I would think that a guy with his athleticism and size would at least make teams take a chance on him.

Re: Fox Sports 2009 Mock Draft

they just had an NFL 2009 Mock Draft Top 10 on ESPN. like 5 players were 3rd year sophs. Crabtree and Knowshon Moreno i think were both in there. It was way different from the one listed on this thread. Knowshon is my favorite player, and i hope somehow ATL gets him even if we dont need him. That is if he decides to leave

It's probably the fact that he plays in an unorthodox offense and has a lot of wear-and-tear, more than a lack of physical attributes or anything else, that worries teams.

I'd say that's fair. I really haven't seen him through enough to make any judgement on mechanics, but from what I Am told he's a very good passer.

He's a specimen, and if Alex Smith can get drafted #1 out of that offense, I would imagine Tebow could get drafted pretty high. Of course depending on any health issues or a big drop off in production.

Re: Fox Sports 2009 Mock Draft

As if mock drafts aren't useless enough when the draft order actually is already known.
