Nice to see my tax dollars are being used for really important things.

We have a US politician wanting to ban Canadian expansion and now this? Just proves politicians are the same everywhere.

**** off already, seriously the CFL is only worried that the NFL would absolutley destroy their fan base on the east coast. It's a capitalistic society, deal with it and leave the government out of this.

Interesting how they see the CFL as a cultural icon and national treasure. It's everything the NFL isn't.

The NFL is looking for any way to expand their reach internationally, ticket prices are rising, and it's just so corporate now. Bills fans probably don't want their team going to Canada, but the NFL doesn't even care about the legacy or history of an original AFL franchise.

I was able to grab tickets for the Bills/Miami game in Dec, you really don't want to know how much I paid for them. The NFL would make a killing in Toronto if they got the bills, I think the only issue would be the TV revenue which plays a HUGE rolein the deal.

YOU SONOFABITCH!

I'm jealous!

bkfount don't worry the Bills won't move to Toronto permanently for two reasons

1. TV revenue as Nivek just said

2. Ralph Wilson declared Toronto as part of the Bills territory. You can't have buyers moving the team to Toronto because of that. You've also got Jim Kelly and other WNY linked people pledging to buy the Bills and keeping the team there. Wilson's Will will also probably have conditions such as local buyers will win the bidding for the team if they're within 20% of the winning bid.

Oh and Roger Goodell is from the Western New York area. He's not going to let the Bills permanently move. I think in the long run the Bills relationship with Toronto will be akin to the Packers and Milwaukee.

Re: Canadian Politician trying to "Ban" NFL Regular Season Games in Canada

I prefer to let the market decide what they want. I know the CFL has survived through a lot of bad stuff but if a team moved to Toronto, I think the CFL would be finished.

There's no way the Argo's would survive in Toronto and a lot of the sponsors would jump ship or shift some of their marketing dollars to the NFL.

I'm probably the biggest CFL fan here but if I had the choice of either getting an NFL or CFL team, I would choose the NFL.

There have been rumblings of a MNF game in Canada is up for grabs and I would love to see the game come to Vancouver.

On the topic of a free market, for the love of god, can we get ESPN in Canada. Sportsnet Connected and SportsCentre need to be re-named The Hockey Show. They should also get rid of the silly rule where radio stations and tv music stations have to have a certain amount of Canadian content.
