Marshawn Lynch to plead guilty!

Thoughts on if this will affect his availability this year for the Bills? I'm guessing 8 games.

I say he'll be gone for 4-8.

Re: Marshawn Lynch to plead guilty!

Quote:
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to plead guilty next week to an unspecified charge stemming from a hit-and-run accident involving his SUV, Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark said Friday. Clark declined to detail the charge but said a tentative plea agreement assumes Lynch was driving his 2008 Porsche Cayenne when it hit a woman crossing a Buffalo intersection early May 31, leaving the victim with a bruised hip and in need of stitches.

This legislation also elevates the crime of leaving the scene of an incident involving personal injury, which under current law is a class B misdemeanor (maximum sentence of up to 90 days in jail), to a class A misdemeanor, with a maximum sentence of up to one year in jail, with a second or subsequent violation could be charged as a class E felony.

Four to eight games? How is that even possible considering what that article states and what the law says? Shouldn't he be serving a possible year in jail, which would thus put him in the same boat as Michael Vick?

Re: Marshawn Lynch to plead guilty!

He's not going to get the max sentence so why use such extremes. He'll probably get a 4 game suspension since this was only his first offense.

Let's hope this was more on the "out of character" side of things or i'm not going to be a very happy fan.

Re: Marshawn Lynch to plead guilty!

I would love to see him at least get suspended. I would also love to see him get taken to the cleaners civilly. I was the victim of a hit and run while in my truck and was so mad I tried to follow the guy on a flat tire.

To hit a person though...a live human being...and drive away. Then play the "I don't know what you're talking about" to the police for a while is pure BS.

It would have been a stupid ticket. Man up.

At least he isn't saying he is innocent and then get proven guilty. The man is trying to tell the truth, I think that should mean something to Goodell.

Re: Marshawn Lynch to plead guilty!

Trying to tell the truth?

He, and those with him during the incident, refused to speak and cooperate with the police. How is that "trying to tell the truth." He only signed the plea agreement, confessing it was him behind the wheel, so he wouldn't end up in jail for a year (where he should be).
