A blown out knee and he was never the same, that and bouts with Steroids and god know what else, some of the stories I remember hearing about daily blood transfusions and the like seemed very wierd, and I know some one has that picture of him from sandiego looking very roided up.
Guess what?

His career in the CFL may be over before it even began. He was having foot issues all through training camp but decided to play through it. He caught a pass for 4 yards in his first regular season game and BAM! He's got a stress fracture and will require surgery which will put him out for 10-12 weeks.

Travis Minor and Snoop Minnis were third round picks, so not succeeding in the NFL wouldn't make them burnouts.

Agreed on Alvin Harper, he was a great number two guy, but lacked that certain "it" factor that is needed to be a number receiver in the NFL.

Re: Your alltime favorite Burnout

lol @ people mentioning Cedric Benson. He may end up qualifying for this list but hasn't been in or out of the league nearly long enough just yet. Dude still has a chance, though it's shrinking by the day (or drink).

Mine:

Michael Westbrook - he looked the part, showed it on the field... what the hell happened?

David Boston - as mentioned, this guy looked like he was going to be neck and neck wtih TO until they both retired.

Rocket Ismail - does he count? he didn't really burn out but he never reached the level I thought he would.
