Hey TJ what is your opinion of Donte Whitner? Everyone said that the Bills picked him way too early in the draft.

Maybe so but they filled a need and he's started in every game he's played in. He's become the emotional leader of the defense and I've been very impressed with what he's shown so far.

Re: Team Captains

I agree with TJ, Whitner is the emotional leader and also the guy with the swagger. He brings a confidence to this team that was sorely lacking for many years.

Either the Bills suck on offense or captains don't mean **** if Trent Edwards is a captain.

Re: Team Captains

Jaguars:
Fred Taylor, RB
David Garrard, QB
Paul Spicer, DE
Rashean Mathis, CB
Daryl Smith, LB

Smith is the only surprise. He is replacing Mike Peterson as a captain, who didn't get a contract extension he wanted and most likely now will be gone next year.

Better than the QB who was captain to start last year...

I think Edwards is actually gonna do pretty well this year. If captains was based on talent, it would obviously be Lee and Lynch, but captains is about leadership and Edwards seems to be a pretty good leader. I like his poise a lot.
