Re: Report: Brady out for the year with torn ACL

Maybe this is stale news, but not gonna sift through 49 pages:

Strong safety Bernard Pollard continues to feel bad about his hit on Tom Brady that knocked the two-time Super Bowl MVP out for the season. But Pollard also knows—and the NFL agrees—that Brady’s injury came about as the result of a typical football play.

Replays of the incident, as reviewed by NFL supervisor of officials Mike Pereira, show Pollard blocked to the ground by Patriots running back Sammy Morris. Pollard scrambled along the ground with Morris still on him before making final lunge at Brady and catching him on the left knee.

The NFL determined there would be no fine assessed, which fortified Pollard’s contention that he’d done nothing illegal.

“It was really an accident,” Pollard said the day after the incident. “I can’t change what happened. I can’t do anything but pray for him and hope he has a speedy recovery.

That got someone banned as he went balistic when everyone told him about it. Posts probably got deleted but it was good stuff
