He's not your typical superstar athlete. His attitude towards his own fame is sorta like how mine would be...it's almost like a feeling of disbelief that he is where he is, a feeling of gratefulness, but also a feeling that he knows he's still a regular human being just like everyone else.

He went to a small school...wasn't highly touted out of college...and sorta fell into the role as the starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys. All the while, I believe he's probably the same person he was before all of this fame found him.

My Tony Romo man crush has officially begun...
I couldnt agree more with everything you posted.
I for one love to watch Romo play, he is not your typical stuck up star athlete.

Re: Nice move by Romo

I can tell you, as a Cowboys fan, it is so fun to watch a quarterback have so much fun when he plays. It's refreshing. Aikman was great, but he looked constipated half the time out there.

This should tell you everything: Terrell Owens falls all over himself making sure Tony's OK. When he accidentally spoke out on something last year that pissed Tony off, Owens insisted on sending them to Cancun as an apology (which kind of got Tony in another pickle right before the Giants game).

If Tony Romo can reel in T.O. and turn him into sort of a team guy, which has amazed all of us, then there must be something uniquely special about him.

Constipated, wins Super Bowls
or
Has fun, yet can't win a playoff game

Yeah, I'm not sure which I'd choose. It's a tough call, really....

Re: Nice move by Romo

You know, I don't care much for Romo's on the field play but the more I read about him off the field the more I like the guy. The NFL needs more guys like Romo IMO.

Your jumping the gun alittle here arent you?
How many playoff games did Aikman win his first 2 years, that would also be 0!
Aikman didnt win a game his first year, and the team only won 1.

It's the way it goes. Peyton Manning couldn't win a playoff game... until he won a playoff game. Then he couldn't beat the Patriots... until he beat the Patriots. Elway couldn't win the Super Bowl... you get the picture.

How'd Aikman, Farve, McNabb, Manning, Elway, anybody do after a year and a half as a starting QB?

Brady is the only exception.

Re: Nice move by Romo

Y'know, not that I want this to happen, but eventually you'd think that something would come out about Tony Romo that will knock him down a peg. He's got way too much going for him.

Until that happens, however, I will continue to worship him.
