I think his statement is dead on personally. These are two young guys that are gonna be duking it out for years to come. They both have this "my sh*t don't stink" attitude that makes them competing that much more entertaining.

Why post and bait?

Name another division where 2 QBs are on the road to success and genuinely dont like each other.

You're underselling the Chargers. I've seen nothing from any team in the AFC, nor do I think we will, that puts the Chargers out of being a Super Bowl contender.

In fact, a game like yesterday can be a rallying point. Everyone knows the Chargers won that game outright, and it's only Week 2. Plenty of time to right the ship for a good team.

Personally I agree with those that hype up the Cutler/Rivers rivalry. This has the potential to be the Marino vs Kelly of this generation.

Re: BK's Charger Observations for the week.

Im scared of Sproles but like Bk said, they need to limit him. Buster had to do return(s) later in the game to give Sproles some time off.

In the 2nd half I remember Sproles getting hit pretty hard up high but he just staggered for a second and then regained his speed right after.. small stature and low center of gravity has to make him hard as hell to wrap him up

While I can't see Norv Turner winning a Super Bowl, every team is going to look a lot different 15 weeks from now. Last year, the Giants had a pathetic defense after 2 weeks and ended up winning the Super Bowl on the strength of their defense. It's too early to write off a team with talent.

The safety issue really is a pressing one. I don't know who's out there in FA, but is there anything legitimately better out there than what the have now?

It doesn't matter. They won't pursue it. It's been a pressing issue for 4 years now and nothing. They were going to move Paul Oliver to safety, but I don't know what came of that. They busted supplemental pick on him and he's yet to see the field.
