I'm sure the mother is broken up beyond words about this as well as the PK.

A loss of a child so young is always very hard to go through.

By all accounts, the worst.

I can't even imagine the feeling. I have a 6-month old little girl and a 2 year old boy and if anything happened to them i'd be destroyed. This is just a horrible thing to happen to anyone. I didn't realize SIDS (i'm think thats what there saying happened) could happen at 3 months let alone the first year of a babys life. That ws kind of a shocker to me. My prayers are with the Bryants right now.

Children, especially boys, are the most susceptible to SIDS within the first year. I have a brand new baby boy and believe me it's always in the back of my mind. However, sleeping them on their back reduces the risk a great deal.

This really sucks! I have always been big on Bryant as our kicker so this really hits home. I hope he can get through this tragedy and continue to perform at the high level that he has for the last few seasons. That 62 yarder he booted to beat Philly two years ago was the greatest kick I ever saw.

Re: Bucs PK's baby son dies in sleep

The PK's name is Matt Bryant...so we don't have to call him "the Bucs PK" anymore.

Terrible tragedy for the family. Hopefully they can get through it.
