Good move, you can't start grasping at straws 3 games into the season. It'll be interesting to see if Haslett goes back to Bulger.

Why Haslett? I don't remember the Saints being so good w/ him, except for a couple seasons

I say just can the season, and start the off-season 3-4 months early.

Indeed but it's not about turning the ship around this year. They just need a warm body there under contract to finish the year that isn't named Linehan. Hopefully they will follow this up by firing most if not all of the front office at the end of the year. Just dumping Linehan won't fix the terrible personnel decisions over the past 5 years that got them into this mess.

Yeah, he was nothing special, always average. They always got 7-9 wins a year but never made it to the playoffs. I wonder if the Rams make this season respectable if they'll keep him on. He's a decent coach, I suppose. And they may want to go with a guy who's been a head man before after this debacle with Linehan.

He made a playoff appearance in 2000.

They beat the Rams that year, IIRC.
