he was a gifted gifted passer. He's another example of someone with all the natural gifts is not guaranteed to be a succesful NFL QB.

If he wasn't such a jerkoff he may have had a Hall of Fame career.

I don't think his arm even beats out JaMarcus Russell's.

I was just trying to find Russell's youtube vid of throwing it 60 yards from his butt.

I think the Jeff George point is a good argument that even if Cutler does have the best arm in the world, it means d**k if he doesn't win a Super Bowl with it.

At this point Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have more valuable arms than Jay Cutler.

Cutler has a hose no doubt. He truly does have elite arm strength.

Russell made a throw vs. San Diego last year in his first start that was amazing. Half roll left, then he sets up, and throws a 45 yard dart with the flick of the wrist. There are very few NFL QB's past or present that could even attempt that throw, nevertheless pull it off with that kind of velocity.

but as you said, arm strength does not mean success. San Diego fans don't have to look any further than Billy Joe Tolliver.

Great point about Jeff George. That guy had one of the most amazing arms i've ever seen but he was such a jerk to his teammates, coaches and fans that he was bound for failure everywhere he went.

At least he was entertaining to watch though.
