Just saw the highlights on NFL Network. Loved it when after the TD celebration by a Saint player I think, the refs threw the unsportsmanlike penalty...and the crowd just rained down boos! Loved it.

I didn't even get to watch the game but at least it was a win.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It was excruciating. I was convinced San Diego would come down with the hail mary at the end.

Have to agree with you, it is time to fire Cottrell. It is obvious by now that the guy cannot adjust his defensive philosophy according to the personnel he has right now. He is coaching as if he had Merriman out there on the field. He should have realized by now that his defensive players cannot put any pressure on the QB. Either utilize more blitz packages (like the Steelers 3-4 defense) or play exclusively a man-to-man defense.

But please do not play zone defense!! You play right into the hands of opposing QB's (like Brees). They sit back there with all day to throw and time and time again QB's find the wholes in the zone defense.

Bring Rivera on board. I know he's a 4-3 guy, but things need to change. The bye week is here so the timing is perfect to shake things up! The season is still not lost.
