Re: Browns name Brady Quinn starter.

I love how this decision was not made by Crennel.

maybe they will sell more jerseys that is pretty much what the Browns have left to think about this season.

You can't pay two quarterbacks what the Browns are.....one is done. You saw one play now lets see the other.

RAC said it was his decision. I dont know how much I believe that. The timing seems forced although the change was inevitable at some point. I just think maybe it should have either been done earlier than this or the next week.

I just don't want another "revolving door" qb situation like we had with Couch/Holcomb.
This was the mistake Butch Davis made------one week it was Holcomb, the following week it was Couch, and so on. It never freakin works.
Pick one or the other, and ride him out till season's end, then decide, regardless of our record.

Then I guess I am wrong and the Browns still suck.

Derek Anderson is not an NFL starter.... bottom line.

Thats the main point. We know DA is not the answer. He would never ever get us to a SB, let alone win, and that is the whole point of every NFL season. We have to see what we have in Quinn.

I'm with EG...no way should DA shoulder the blame. We can't run block, but feature a power back thats useless outside of the tackles. No play action. Whenever we put Harrison in for a change of pace, teams sit down on the flats and screens. Chud's playcalling has regressed, and with the injuries, we have a pitiful receiving unit including hands of fricken stone Edwards. Winslow has been up and down also.

Quinn may be the QB of the future, and I've been hoping he would see some action this year...but DA did a decent job considering what he was working with. Brady will have to be OUTSTANDING to justify this move cuz If he plays like a rookie, we're toast.

At least Cowher will have a decent pool of guys to build with next year.

It's easy to blame the QB, but the bottom line is the Browns simply aren't very good. And the good players they do have aren't playing very well.

This season is lost, you busted a 1st round pick on Quinn, might was well let him play and see what you've got. EG is right though, they need to pick a guy and stick with him. If they were smart they would say something to the effect Quinn is the starter for the remainder of the season.

Much like my team has proven time and time again, the Browns are the Browns for a reason.
