Two different things.
Thanks for clearing that up. I had asked if it was a direct snap or wildcat but nobody could answer clearly until you. I watched the game but wasn't home so I was distracted but I did pretty much watch every play and I never saw Eli lined up as a WR anywhere. Seems like they would have replayed that 100 times if he did.

you should add carolina if you put the dolphins on there. we were running direct snaps to deangelo williams two years ago.

OK...for the record was listening to the game on the radio so I didn't get to 'see' the play, but just remember hearing that the ball was snapped to Ward and assumed it was the Wildcat.

Detroit Lions run various forms of this offense, but not the Wildcat....

The Pu$$Y Cat.....QB lines up in shotgun and screams "I'm scared" and falls down.

The Stray Cat.....RB is supposed to get the ball, but he's nowhere to be found. The center snaps the ball to noone and the defense recovers.

The Tom Cat....Culpepper is supposed to be running this formation, but he was daydreaming about how to get chicks on a booze cruise boat and getting his roll on. Result, busted play, 3 yard loss every time.

Re: Post here if your team HASN'T run the wildcat this year

This is a play that I think most teams should run 2-5 times a SEASON. Instead teams ran it 2-3 times a game making it useless for their next game for the most part.

I think of it like a trick play - like a flea-flicker or something of that nature.

I can't remember what team it was but I saw the wishbone this year which imo has more potential than the wildcat, but I still think it's something you should only do a handfull of times.
