How many players get selected to the Pro Bowl?

That would be way too many free tickets given away, they wouldn't allow it because of the revenue lost.

skills comp.

for example I watch the home run derby in baseball and don't give a hoot about the allstar game.

It's the same thing for any sport as far as I'm concerned.

When the conference championships have played out you know you still want to see some more football. You don't want to go a weekend without some football before you get to see the superbowl.

That being said, you can pretty much forget about seeing any of the superbowl participants in the pro bowl.
I agree 100%. My only thought is wouldn't that damage the field? I'm not for any issues with the field the Superbowl will be played on.

Since the Super Bowl is played in warm weather/domes the application of logos and such on the field can be done very easily. The Vanier Cup last year was played a day before the Grey Cup and they got the logos and such off the field without problems. The Field is not going to be damaged at all. It'd be like a home team playing 2 straight weeks at home.

How is there going to be problems with the field?

It sounded like this would be played a day or couple of days before the SB. If I'm not mistaken, the SB isn't played after 2 weeks every year... I think it's every other year unless that's changed. That would mean this game wouldn't be a week in advance (in which case, I agree... no issue).

I'm w/ the first two posts, and a match between the two worst teams for the #1 pick isn't a bad idea...would never be done, but isn't a bad idea.

Like someone else said being named to the ProBowl should just be an award like being named an All-American or something.

The game itself is pointless.

Have the skills comps during the week prior to the SB if they insist on having a two week break, just forget the game itself.
