I think you should have your boy Grant in there somewhere.

Re: Top Five Current Running Backs

Grant is good but inconsistent; however, I haven't watched enough Packer games this say if is because of the o-line or play calling or him.

All I know is when I saw him play the Bears, he ran all over them.

My top 5

Turner
Johnson
Portis
Peterson
Forte

Call me a homer at Forte but he runs as well as anyone else out there with a terrible offense and a very bad and old o-line. Not only can he run but he can catch the ball. Very dangerous back but just not know because the Bears aren't doing much. Maybe not top 5 but top 10 no doubt.

Re: Top Five Current Running Backs

Yea Alt, I had Forte just outside the Top 5 based on what he's done this year.

Re: Top Five Current Running Backs

As a Giants fan, I know how homerish this sounds, but still:

Jacobs's effectiveness is not just in the yards he gains, but in the physical toll he takes on defenses. Time and time again, defenses look terrible, and a full step slower because of how BJ is getting his yards. That is a quality that I would ONLY trade for Adrian Peterson. Everyone else, I'd leave on the table and keep BJ, because his effect on the fourth quarter is very profound.

LT is great, but if SD could pound people with Jacobs for 3 quarters, Turner would average 100 yards in the fourth quarter. AP is the onyl back that I think would definitely make the Giants a better team than they are now.

Re: Top Five Current Running Backs

Also got to take into account that ya'll run a RB by committee approach so that does allow for him to be more fresh and effective in games whereas with the names everybody else mentioned are all the main dude on their teams.
